If you’re like me, you’re always looking for fun new recipes to try. The funny thing is, I don’t even have a sweet tooth, but I enjoying baking treats for my friends and family. There’s just something about that sweet smell of baked goodies wafting through your house that makes you want to bake more.
I'm going to dish on three homemade recipes you absolutely positively have to try. Yes, I found them online, but I have made them before and swear they are as delicious as they sound.
My all-time favorite? Oatmeal cream pies. I’m not talking about the Little Debbie packs of them, I’m talking about the real thing - homemade goodness.
The recipe can be found on Sallysbakingaddiction.com. They take some time to make and they can be quite messy, but it is worth it. I made these for my boyfriend for our first Christmas and now he asks if I can make them every year. Pro tip? Let the cookies fully cool before adding the cream in between.
I have to be honest, I’m not the biggest coconut fan, but my dad is, which is why I made these German Chocolate Cake Cookies.
These cookies were a huge hit and I still can’t get over how incredible they made my kitchen smell. These chewy cookies have a gooey caramel pecan frosting on top that is sure to make your taste buds go wild. The recipe can be found on A Dash of Sanity.
My grandma made brown-butter toffee blondies for me over the summer and you bet I asked for the recipe right after taking my first bite.
They are oh so scrumptious and they’re fairly easy to make. I’m a sucker for toffee so I’m obsessed with these. You can make these blondies into cookies, bars, whatever you want! This recipe is from none other than Martha Stewart.
