SHOWS TO BINGE ON NETFLIX

Posted on 04 May 2017

It’s almost summer, which means you’ll have free time for the first time in forever. Free time = time to binge watch all of the shows in your queue on Netflix.

So, where do you start?

If you haven’t already seen 13 Reasons Why, you need to. Apparently, this show is the most-watched show on Netflix EVER! It’s no surprise as it’s based of a New York Times bestseller. Oh, and let’s not forget that Selena Gomez is the executive producer of the show.

The tale follows a young girl named Hannah who takes her own life. Two weeks after her death, a box of tapes are left outside Clay’s doorstep, one of Hannah’s classmates. The tapes go on to explain the 13 reasons, or 13 people, who played a role in Hannah ending her life. The show brings attention to a very important issue and does it brilliantly in this heart-wrenching watch.

For all you fellow fashion lovers out there, I’ve got a treat for you! Girlboss just dropped on Netflix and it's as fabulous as expected. This show is also based on a best-selling book. It’s a true story about the original girl boss who inspired us all to go out and be the boss of our own lives.

This show is about Sophia Amoruso and how she built her multi-million dollar fashion empire, Nasty Gal (aka the go-to for badassery fashions!) Britt Robertson plays the lead, truly capturing Sophia’s rebellious and passionate spirit. The show perfectly sums up the struggles and joys of being a business owner, especially in a cutthroat industry like fashion.

Last month, the second season of Fuller House aired on Netflix. The show has some new faces, but also many familiar faces we grew up to know and love. While it doesn’t have the same witty charm as the original, there’s just something about it that keeps you hitting ‘play next episode’.

This spinoff centers around three of your faves, Kimmy Gibler, D.J., and Stephanie Tanner, who all find themselves back at home, together again, and living under one roof. The show takes you through their lives- the small moments and the big ones. As if that’s not enough, some other members of the Full House gang tend to make an appearance from time to time. (cough, cough Uncle Jesse…)

Of course, there are plenty more shows on Netflix to start binge-watching, but everyone’s got to start somewhere!

Happy watching!

Xoxo,
